9.9.20 Body cocoon 4, work in progress
10.9 20 This is still a work in progress. I started it when I had a week's holiday in Wales in August I wanted to knit a full size, wearable pillar of fire, rather like my hanging ones at Incendiary. I decided to make it sectional so that i could easily carry the small sections on walks and to the beach etc. We were going out more! The colours are a joy to knit with.
I only included it in my final submission yesterday. I'm pleased with it as part of the installation. It's unfinished, with the needles and yarn still attached, I think it gives a sense of unravelling, but also that this assessment is a moment in time, a comma in the knitting together ofmy practice. I also like the fact that next time I install it it will probably be bigger and very different and that I can start knitting the next orange section at home this afternoon, as a post assessment treat, even though the rest of it is at Locksbrook!
