26.7.20 Stands for Body cocoons
Here are some of my initial ideas that I will discuss with Si and Gareth this week and, hopefully start making! I envisage that I might also use canvas, stuffing and stitch to make the stands more bodily.
26.7.20 I've decided to make stands for the Body cocoons. I want them to look as if I'm inside them, in a number of different poses. I'm planning to make them out of metal and possibly concrete. Just my cast feet will be visible. (See Concrete, MF003 for more details.) I'm negotiating with Si in the Metal workshop and Gareth in Sculpture and plan to start this week. Part of me thinks that these forms might be interesting as freestanding sculptures in their own right, but I'm reserve judgement until I've made at least one.
