Participatory art
6.1.21 I have had limited opportunity to facilitate any participatory art during this module, very sadly. Many of the opportunities I had planned for this year have been cancelled or postponed because of the pandemic. Understandable, but very sad, nonetheless. I am still pondering ways to facilitate participatory art online but I personally find the use of video meetings so intense and tiring and frankly, weird, that I'm reluctant to set up any more! So. I am waiting to see how things develop, although I'm conscious on this the 2nd day of the 3rd lockdown in England that I want to connect with others again in a similar way to the connections that were fostered through the Wishing trees. So, I'm thinking and imagining how I could instigate something hopeful, thoughtful and different to stimulate community, creativity and colour to give me a focus but also to make people more hopeful. Watch this space!
I finally dismantled the Wishing tree on the Downs in November and I've been nurturing a community via @socialengagement on Instagram. See below.
