I started the @socialengagement Instagram account on the day the first Coronavirus lockdown started in England in March 2020. Visit @socialengagement for details of the back story. I now have 200 followers, a handful of whom actively engage with my posts on a regular basis. I'm very grateful and pleased to have gathered at least a small community. I have changed the focus of the account, slightly, since we dismantled the physical Wishing trees, and I've been hoping to nurture the fifth #virtualwishingtree there. My focus is #connection, #community, #creativity and #colour. Oh, and #hopefulness!
During the second lockdown in England, for the month of November, I posted every day, as a #lockdowncountdown. I'm planning to do the same for the current lockdown, although it looks as if it's due to be longer and I do find posting every day very time consuming... and hard. Sometimes I repost other people's posts and that's easier. Some days I don't post. I need to be kind to myself too!
